How a Condominium Plan Is Prepared
A condominium plan consists of a surveyor’s professional drawings of the property including overall boundaries as well as individual ones. To create it, they will conduct a detailed survey of the property, which will include measuring the boundaries of the property and recording the location and dimensions of all buildings and other structures. The surveyor will document the dimension of individual units and identify common and individual/exclusive elements.
While preparing the plan, the surveyor may coordinate with other professionals such as lawyers and developers to ensure that their plan aligns with the building declaration and municipal bylaws and meets the requirements set by the Land Titles Office or other institutions.
